Turkish Defence delegation visits PAF

The only engines NASTP is working on are the LAHAB series, basically miniature turbojets for target drones and cruise missiles. Who knows, these might just be Swinwin engines being manufactured locally under license.

NESCOM, however, is working on bigger things (starting with NTJ-V1).

Kamra is trying to do more in house upgrades and work on engines but it's a long journey... Frankly good start but not enough capital (human or otherwise) to see it through.

True, but starting small is the standard evolutionary ladder to build baseline metallurgy, single crystal casting and blade tech.

Logical long term play here isn't just target drones, its building the technical expertise required to eventually secure localized assembly lines or ToT for Chinese Turbofans. Got a bit overzealous with the pavilion banner, but the step by step propulsion roadmap is definitely in motion.

If they're working on such technologies, best to keep it quiet...really quiet and just get on with it folks. Do whatever it takes to keep the motherland safe.

For those who don't know, PAF is actively working on indigenous jet engine design and development in close collaboration with Turkey.

And you can clearly see PFX fighter design under the Manned Systems section.
