The current production capacities of manufacturers (according to manufacturers own figures) supplying kamikaze FPV drones to the Turkish army are as follows:

➡️Dasal, kamikaze drone production capacity : 100.000/year

➡️Titra, Merkut kamikaze drone production capacity: 12.000/year

➡️Skydagger, kamikaze drone production capacity target: 1.000.000+/year

➡️STM Kargu production capacity: Unknown



➡️Dönmezoğlu kamikaze drone production capacity: Unknown

It wasn't a cancellation per say,a tender was organised for 4 corvettes, the French won the tender with a fixed price of 1.2 Billion euros.Than......Romanian bureaucracy kicked in,Damen the Dutch builder sued the decision in Courts, Romanian system dragged its feet,as it always does,and ,finally after 1 and a half years dismissed Damen's lawsuit....

Then, we were ready to sign with the French, but as you can imagine, 18 months and a Russian invasion in Ukraine later,the French said that,obviously, prices have gone up,no way they can stick to the original 1.2 billion price,Romania said it can't renegotiate because that would be illegal.....hence the whole thing was cancelled.

The Hisar isn't a replacement for the Gowinds, just a quick fix up to actually have a corvette in 2026.

They should really work to localize the entire supply chain in Turkey and not rely on parts from China. It will set them apart from other manufacturers who are essentially doing assembly of their designs with subcomponents from China. Its harder but it will pay off long term, b/c in the first high intensity conflict that breaks out anywhere, whether its Turkey supplying drones externally to another from or if Turkey itself gets into a fight, Chinese subcomponents will be difficult to access as they will be targeted for disruption or china will attempt to cut off the supply chain if its a war in the pacific.

If the entire ecosystem is in Turkey, Turkey can also sell non Chinese subcomponents to people trying to make their own production lines in Europe or the US, and supply Ukraine as well in the current conflict.

on the other hand , smart British ( BAE SYSTEMS ) and Italians ( LEONARDO ) are working with TAI and BAYKAR

Even Saudi Arabia pays $3 billion for 60 AKINCI UCAVs instead of 3 HERON-TP for $1,2 billion

German exports since 2022 are inflated due to the Ukraine war

I wouldn’t be surprised if Turkey is actually more than Germans in the pure sense in 2025
