📌The second prototype of the TEI TF6000 engine was displayed at EFES-2026.

📌The engine's first ignition was carried out on December 24, 2025.

📌The TF6000 TF2-1 engine was operated for a total of 45 hours.

Will kizilelma be getting the TF10000 engine ultimately ?

Everyone is going to make 6000Lb thrust engine for ther unmanned fighter program, we can say TEI and Turkish defence industry is lead in this field. Can GE make it happen in 3 years a 4000-9000 class engine?

probably, they have all the tools and tech to do it. But I think the biggest winner is Honeywell, they already have an engine in this class.

TEI General Manager Mahmut Faruk AkÅŸit

The TF6000 is a very successful engine. We will provide it for testing purposes for the ANKA-3 and KIZILELMA at the beginning of 2027

The first test of the TF10000 with afterburner is targeted to be conducted by the end of 2027

Overall timeframe may change although i thought they would start this year since TF6000 is coming to an end i guess they have their hands full with tf35000
It's not the same thing to study and produce a UCAV engine, without after burner, with a restricted flight domain, and a front fighter one.
They will learn it !

You're wrong Stud.
I only answered to some that think they are a bear just because they have some little hair on their chests. As some Turkish forumers for exemple.

How many time to Turkey to produce a MBT engine my dear ?
Is it only operationnal or do you have to purchase it from South Korea ?
It's not trolling, it's reality, and you seems to have some difficulties to cope reality.

Even BMC POWER has successfully developed the BATU power pack which consists of a 1,500 hp diesel engine and a high-torque cross drive transmission

It took approximately 9 years to develop it from scratch using entirely domestic resources

2017 : The official R&D process has begun for the 1,500 hp BATU project.
2021 : First Successful Ignition
2021 - 2025 : Transmission Integration and Durability Tests
2026 : Completion of Factory Acceptance

------------------------------------------------------------------------

The first 85 Tanks in the ALTAY T1 configuration are being produced with South Korean-made engines and transmissions as a temporary solution.

All 165 ALTAY T2 Tanks to be produced from 2028 onwards will leave the factory with 100% domestically produced BATU engine

Many people still fail to see Türkiye's tremendous leap forward in technology

TEI has 40 years of experience in gas turbine engines ... ( turbofan - turboshaft )

Batu is currently under qualification/testing. As far as i know the engine is ready but the transmission still needs some time but overall progress is good/acceptable considering we are relatively new to engine market. I have no idea how the engine compares to Euro Powerpack or korean but i guess if the army is satisfied with it its good.
Overall progress is good considering that BMC is developing it and they have like 4 different engines.
