Completely different situation. Kurds are Sunni Muslims who go to the same mosques as Turks. Kurds are well integrated in Turkey at every level. They have lived alongside Turks since a thousand years, since the time of Alp Arslan, really this separatism issue only happened b/c of 19/20th century ethnic discrimination and abandonment/alienation of common heritage/identity between Turks and Kurds. But this isn't really all that significant in the last few years with reforms and addressing of issues.

If you want a comparison its more like African Americans in the US.

There is no relation to any immediate geopolitical matter.

Idk just looks like you came here to badmouth about Turkey randomly b/c someone else posted about regional instability and changing geopolitical dynamics in a neighboring country.
agree to disagree

happy to move it to another thread if you can inform me the correct thread to post it in

Israel must prepare for a direct confrontation with Turkey, according to the Nagel Committee's latest report on the defense budget and security strategy.

The committee, established by the government, warns that Turkey’s ambitions to restore its Ottoman-era influence could lead to heightened tensions with Israel, possibly escalating into conflict.

The report highlights the risk of Syrian factions aligning with Turkey, creating a new and potent threat to Israel’s security.

As I have always said, the biggest threat to Israel in the region is not Iran but Turkey. The two countries will face each other in the long run.

first you should close your Israeli embassy and stop trading with them and then maybe we can start to talk about turkey becoming a threat to Israel one day

You helped the US invade Afghanistan and Iraq. You are playing the aggressive role needed to make Israel appear justified in the world. You are terrified of Israel like a dog. It seems to me that you have no plan to fight Israel; instead, you are trying to use Israel as leverage to save your collapsing regime in the region and in your own country.

@hodor @Oublious Forget Iran for a bit,do you guys think Turkey can take on Israel right now? With what you guys have and what they have?

Turkey has already gained a significant asymmetrical advantage with its leading position in drone technology. However, the air force is lagging behind, and that wont be caught up overnight. However, if Turkey invests heavily in air defense systems like the S-400 and NASAMS and combines them with domestic systems like Hisar, it could certainly keep the overrated Israeli Air Force in check.

all very cute conjecture and projection but totally irrelevant to the topic and the thread

now care to explain how Turkey is the 'real' threat to Israel when you have an Israeli embassy and conduct trade with Israel?

1. When an Iranian truck driver's understanding of geopolitical issues and Erdogan's evil is greater than many. This honorable Iranian compatriot has correctly understood that the Erdogan regime's fuel tax on Iranian trucks is a prelude to the country's transit blockade and the cutting off of Iran's land and air access to Europe, and this sinister plan...

2. After the occupation of southern Armenia and the elimination of the need for Turkey and Baku to pass through Iran to access Central Asia and China, it will be completed, and the army and the IRGC must enter to solve this problem and prevent the implementation of the conspiracies of Turkey and Baku. In completing the words of this honorable compatriot, it should be said that the practical occupation of Syria by...

3. Turkey and its efforts to reduce Iran's influence in Iraq by paralyzing the Popular Mobilization Forces, intensifying terrorist activities on Iran's borders with Pakistan and Afghanistan, and building dams in Turkey and Afghanistan on rivers leading to Iran are another part of the Zionist-Anglo-Saxon puzzle that Erdogan is implementing!

This a Twitter thread that resonated with many pro-regime Iranian netizens. I poste this here to give you a glimpse of how these people think of us Turks & Azeris. Their hostility is worrisome, to say the least.
