Its best to move incrementally now, not to do anything too risky too soon that causes you to lose in the short term instead of winning in the long term.

I don't think Turkish troops will be in Damascus. They will be in Syria, but in the North and probably central at the T4 base. But the presence will start out in the north, closer to the Turkish border.

Yes the rational move would be to incrementally expand out from the north. Only once you arrived at the Isreali border can you then talk about troop deployments in Gaza.
