Turkish Foreign Policy and Regional Geopolitics

No one is paying attention, but moves are being made. I had speculated about this a few months back, though I predicted Malaysia and Saudi as part of the agreement, maybe in the future they can join. Bangladesh potentially as well.

An executive board will draft plans, while a strategic board will decide on budgets and production sites. Qatar will provide funding.

The significance of this no less than the Mecca pact, arguably this is even more impactful in terms of defense development and standardization of defense infrastructure throughout the countries and a common ecosystem for production and sharing of resources in high intensity conflict.

Turkey should look to bring Saudi on board as well, Qatari funding is good, but Saudi funding can take things to even further levels.

What Turkey cannot build as a middle power, it can build as a collective. We are talking a sovereign capability that only large powers build, for example, something like Strategic Airlift aircraft, or and large capital intensive projects. And Turkey being the technological center of these initiatives.

Things like Strategic Airlift aircraft. Like what France did with the A-400, as a collective with other middle powers.

South Korea has been trying to find partners to build something similar, but doesn't have the capacity to do it alone.

The ones who sanctioned Turkey are now talking partnership.

You see strength is all they respect, they hide behind morality but strength is what they respect.
