Turkish Foreign Policy and Regional Geopolitics

Iran is in BIG trouble.

Iran is facing a severe energy crisis, causing widespread power outages, industrial disruptions, and economic strain.

Years of sanctions, aging infrastructure, and wasteful consumption have left the country struggling to function.

A daily gas shortfall of 350 million cubic meters has led to power cuts at 17 plants, with others running partially.

Schools, universities, and government offices operate on reduced schedules, while power outages disrupt daily life, affecting heating, traffic systems, and internet-dependent activities.

Manufacturing output has dropped by 30-50%, with tens of billions in losses. Key sectors, including steel and construction, face halts or downsizing.

The rial has hit record lows, and private sector confidence has plummeted.

Iran’s regional influence is eroding after setbacks in Syria and Lebanon, while renewed U.S. pressure under Donald Trump could worsen the crisis.

The Turkish government must be prepared for all possibilities. The regime in Tehran is shaking.

I feel no sorry for them after what they did in Syria. They will not shake, they have 2 armies 1 is stronger then the other. The IRGC and the fake poor army.

Like assad army, the higher ups are Shebiha and Alawites from Lazkiya coast, the poor soldiers were sunnies.

As usual

A Turkish oil and chemical tanker was heading from Türkiye to Egypt.

Suddenly changed its direction towards Israel.

commander of Iranian Navy is Kurdish Sunni, our top national security advisor (personally negotiated Iran-Saudi rapprochement) is Arab Sunni

you have no idea what you are talking about and try to impose your concept of sectarianism on Iran

by the way when can we expect Syrian Shias in similar high ranking military positions in the newly liberated Syria (and for context, Syria has a much higher percentage of Shias than Iran has Sunnis)?

comparing one random Iranian guy's statement supporting some limited collaboration with the USA in Syria to Turkish state policy of continuing to trade with Israel is laughable

Nothing valuable from Persians, zero values for them also... While turkish-zionist export-import trade is worth millions daily, Persians are looking like amateurs...
