Turkish Foreign Policy and Regional Geopolitics

I don't get it,you guys are mad about our Chief of Staff saying Turkey is still a threat(when you threaten someone, you're a threat)and that if we are challenged,we could react in 5 mins.

The man didn't say anything aggressive. He only said that if we're attacked,we'll reply.

In the past, there have been numerous statements by Turkish officials claiming the Turkish forces can take Thessaloniki or Athens in 5 hours.

Then, you get upset about us buying 16 Exocet missiles and possibly a 4th FDI frigate. Your media talks about this as if it's some provocation, some act of war. You talk as if Greece is planning an invasion with a 4th frigate, while Turkey has been producing weapons like crazy.

And the problem is,you're getting back on the old Erdogan rhetoric. Now you claim Kastelorizo as "Turkish". Guys, get it together.

Why is he talking tough, "5 hours", this is after the incident with the Greek Soldiers, if Greeks with their new Israeli friends get cocky it would be disastrous. The Status quo should not be disturbed and any unilateral change to the status quo without dialogue will Turkey will bring unilateral reciprocal action from Turkey.

There's no "new Israeli friends". Our relations are in the same level as they were during the 2020-2021 era when Egypt was worried about Turkey's meddling as well.

As for "any unilateral change without dialogue",what's the unilateral change? Laying down power cables not even close to Turkey? That's neither illegal nor provocative, yet Turkey again is making a fuss about it.

As for Kastelorizo, you have nothing to say about that provocation?

The Dynamics are very different, Israelis weren't really thinking about Turkey, they were busy with Iran, as the Situation in Syria was different with Assad providing a corridor from Tehran to Beirut.

Egyptian dynamics were different too, but now they are different again as Turkey made peace with Egypt, and the Dynamics there have changed. Turkey is preparing to sell weapons to Egypt and provide military aid, should the Israelis take action against Egypt.

So there should be no objection if Turkey decides to lay cables from Turkey to Libya right?

From what I've heard anyone can lay cables to provide electric power or internet

So its not gonna be over Greek Sea if Turkey builds a cable from Libya to Turkey, am I understanding this correctly? lol
See? Pretty far from Turkey. You don't have to worry.

This is your map, Its not the one Turkey follows, If Turkey places the same cable in the brown Area, Greece will not get upset right?

This is what is meant by unilateral actions. Don't do things in disputed areas until there is a bilateral agreement. Otherwise there will be retaliatory unilateral action taken by the other side. To prevent Fait Accompli.

Greeks taking unilateral actions and not expecting a retaliation is like Trump putting Tarrifs and then being shocked the reciprocal tarrifs were made by the other country.

The population crisis is much worse is Poland than in Western Europe. The Polish even hire workers from Bangladesh.

Its going to be difficult to reverse it for them as well, as the majority of their population is older as well, and those people having children at later ages is more problematic. The full brunt of it, i think will be felt probably in 30+ years as the aging out rapidly increases.

Unless something changes with AI and Robots, there is going to be massive shifts in those countries either they will have to figure out the worker situation with migration or figure out how to function with a massively smaller population than what exists now.

This is the internationally accepted one. Everyone in the area follows it. The only one who's been having a problem and causing trouble about it,is Turkey. If you see on the map,Turkey claims areas extremely close to Greek islands as EEZ. That's beyond ridiculous.

Look at this and tell me with all honesty: Do you think a power cable from here to there,is a valid reason for Turkey to start tensions and trouble again in the region?

By the way,you still didn't answer about the claim on Kastelorizo.

It’s very normal for the Chief of Staff to say that. He is the Chief of Staff and his job is to defend the country.

No problem. I dont know our hysteric media reacted to this, but the media are hysteric in every country.
