I'm just chuckling at all the effort Greece put in to back Haftar and in the end he cuts a deal where he decides, yeah Greece is useless, they aren't sending him soldiers or military equipment, UAE and Russia are doing that, and they don't care about EEZ, so why antagonize Turkey.

The moment Iran's foreign policy went sectarian, they lost the entire ME. Pay attention to the Syrians in the comments. This hatred for Iran will last for generations. Ironically, even the Alawite minority is now distancing themselves from the Iranians.

Turkey's interlocutor is the GNA. Haftar accepting the EEZ negotiated with the GNA and Turkey is him removing the antagonism with Turkey(and Turkey not pressing the GNA to take back all of Libya by force), not Turkey backing him against the GNA. If the ceasefire breaks, Turkey will be supplying and supporting the GNA and Misrata.

Turkey is literally helping with Drones in Sudan fight Haftar's men who were rerouted from Libya to Sudan to help the RSF by the UAE.

What we have in Libya is compartmentalization, and a detente as the GNA militarily taking the lands in eastern Libya is not currently politically viable as it would bring in Egypt into the mix to bolster Haftar, which Turkey is trying to avoid, as it doesn't want to fight or have tensions with Egypt.

The policy of trying to be friendly with those you've been calling out as evil dictators and warlords. You're inviting Haftar to Ankara and trying to cosy up to him. Same thing happened with Sissi and Salman after you had been calling them a list of names.
