I hope that the amount is scaled up, when the SOM program started ther was a need of 450 something SOM missiles. With ongoing war i hope that they have asked for more. In 2022 we had more then 250 SOM missiles in our inventory. I am curious is it over 400?

And the amount Tayfun missiles what could it be?

One country producing isn't enough, there needs to be weapons commonality, so that in a high attrition conflict, Turkey can use Pakistani stock or Azeri stock or Indonesian stock or wherever the common missile is being produced.

We are seeing with the air defense with patriots, Japan is supplying PAC-3 interceptors to the US that they produced in Japan. This is one of the benefits of a common munition, especially a high attrition munition. They cannot be supported by one production line.

"A contract amendment has been made to increase the range and capabilities of the GÖKHAN National Ramjet-Powered Long-Range Air-to-Air Missile, which was first exhibited at IDEF 2025, and a new contract for the GÖKHAN Block has been signed.

While ground testing continues at a rapid pace, work has also begun on the new GÖKHAN missile block, which was signed to enhance range and capabilities.

Once it enters production, the Gökhan will be one of the longest-range missiles in the NATO inventory"

as of 2023 ,within the scope of the contract signed between the Ministry of National Defence and ASFAT to procure 3,400 HGK-84 Precision Guidance Kits

HGK-84 deliveries continue in 2026

TurAF hasn't recieved SIPER black 2 yet. On the other hand France air force has already recieved SAMP/T NG

SIPER Block-1 and SAMP-T both have the same firing range against Fighter Jets ( 100+ km )

SIPER-2 deliveries will start in 2027 to compare with SAMP-T NG

The SAMP/T NG air defense system was delivered but not yet fully operational in France (as of march 2026)
