The only positive aspect is that the AKERON missile costs over $200,000, making it not a cost-effective concept

Turkiye launches cheap munitions ( MAM family ) from expensive platforms TB-2/3, ANKA , AKINCI ...... whereas here, expensive missiles ( AKERON ) are fired from cheap platforms like Atlas-8 Drone


However, since its range is 20–30 km, it cannot conduct operations within Turkish territory.

Greece will most likely use this Drone to defend the islands

Since the AKERON missile has a range of 5 km, this drone would need to approach Turkish forces to within 5 km , Turkish forces would detect the drone and take countermeasures

The greatest weakness of land based Radars is the radar horizon blind spots and since ATLAS-8 is a propeller driven Drone, it can reach its target by flying at low speeds and low altitudes without being detected by land based Radars


This is where the strength of the Turkish defense industry will come into play

Greece is developing it to use against us in amphibious operations to protect the islands close to Türkiye ... ( 2 , 7 , 15 , 30 km away from Turkish mainland )


We can use AKINCI UCAV with MURAD-100A AESA Radar as a mini AWACS to detect this Drone from 30 km the moment it takes off

ASELFLIR-600 E/O System can performs laser marking to fire CIRIT laser guided air defense Missiles from land platforms to hit this Drone from 8 km away


Very few countries in the world can demonstrate this capacity

There will be no need for the expensive missiles used by air defense systems like GURZ and HISAR-A
