good thing BAYKAR makes one TB2 every day. the costliest item on the drone is the eots, which could be either Canadian, German or Turkish. It's worth about $1 million if I recall. The drone costs less than $2 million to make(with its payload including the EOTS). losing even tens of these wouldn't make a dent in the defence budget.

The production cost is significantly lower than 2 Million USD per piece.

Only the deployment is changing, Anka will operate in Natuna sea while CH4 will be deployed in other place.

"Indonesian Air Force will receive Anka-S UAVs from TUSAS and deploy them in Air Squadron 52 at Raden Sadjad Air Force Base, Natuna, replacing the CH-4.



Air Marshal Harjono has recently met with local media to evaluate the year 2024 and to discuss plans and said,

“With the arrival of the Turkish-made Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), it is planned to be placed in Natuna to replace the CH-4, and the CH-4 will be withdrawn to Pontianak”.



2019 Indonesia procured six CH-4Bs from the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC). Their operational radius ranges from 1,500 km to 2,000 km and can be controlled through SatCom.



Indonesia has later armed the UACS with Chinese-made AR-2 air-to-surface precision-guided ammunition with 1.5-8 km range. Indonesia deployed CH-4B UAVs at Air Squadron 52 at Raden Sadjad Air Force Base, Natuna."
