It should allow them to provide longer air cover for their ground operations. I bet as a Somali soldier they'd feel safer knowing they have the Akinci keeping an eye on them, ready to alert them of ambushes, or strike enemy positions to prevent a tragedy.
Just having one of these in the sky changes the entire dynamic of the Somali civil war.

Not acquiring. It will be operated by Turkey and will provide air coverage and strategic strike capability to the Somali forces. The operational framework will be similar to how Turkey owns and operates the Mogadishu based TB-2s.
