The Navy will have a toy to play, they going to learn how to use it. Our navy will be able for the first time capable to join operations on land iff it is needed. It is heeting up in Libya.

Products Leonardo will offer alongside the Akıncı UCAV for European exports via LBA Systems, its joint venture with Baykar:

  • LEOSS-T electro-optical system
  • ULISSES anti-submarine warfare system
  • SDR SRT-800 communication system
  • Brite Storm jammer system
  • IFF 428 Mode 4/5 friend-or-foe identification system

2. Payload Options​

  • Osprey 55/30 AESA airborne radar
  • Seaspray 7500 AESA surface radar
  • Gabbiano T-80UL ISR/ISTAR 360-degree scanning radar
  • SAGE ESM/ELINT system
  • Skyward IRST – infrared search and track system
  • IFF Interrogator SIT 436 IFF system
  • MAIR-A missile approach warning receiver

LBA Systems is a newly established company formed through a 50-50 joint venture between Baykar and Leonardo.

Yup, bound to happen sometimes during prototype phase. All things considered its still in good shape and can be fixed.
