Türkiye - Azerbaijan | Strategic Partnership, Regional Alliance, Military Cooperation - News & Updates

Whoever defends the Azerbaijani dictatorship forfeits his right to criticise Erdoğan or the Turkish government in the future.

Stop being so incredibly hypocritical. Aliyev needs to go.
Faulty logic.

Erdogan is the president of my country, Aliyev is not.

Azerbaijan, Morocco and UAE are the 3 so-called muslim countries who are rapidly progressing to be under the influence of the Israeli government and the money brought in by the global Jewish lobby/organizations.
Turkiye needs to set the rules straight sooner than later. They already have armenia and greece as a thorn on their side and they cant afford another one.

Dont forget Somaliland.

Morocco - Azerbaidjan - UAE - Somaliland.

Most pro-Israeli governments ever with huge money and weapons coming in from the Israelis.

Turkey had closed the border and boycotted Armenia for more than 30 years only for Azerbaidjan.

If Aliyev says that Turkey cant dictate them, then Azerbaidjan shouldnt dictate Turkey.

OPEN THE BORDER WITH ARMENIA AND BEGIN FULL TRADE AND INVESTMENTS

Oktay Saral, said a thing. Also, the "journalists" within AKP circle.

The public speaking and media commentator are not the govt. A parliamentarian giving his own commentary is not the state, the state is people who hold executive power or the foreign ministry, who comment on behalf of the state.

The vast majority of "public speaking" are for some reason Akp supporters. Much of it looks organized too with same talking points.

Media commentators close to Akp. Then why do you claim something from qafqazinfo is Azerbaijani gov’s position? How are they different things? Next thing you will tell me Yeni Akit is independent and not related to the government.

Things don't run top down in Turkey the way they do in Azerbaijan, believe it or not. There are things that happen spontaneously from activists and others that ironically are things the govt is itself hesitant on. Its not people at the top gave marching orders and they are being followed like with Aliyev.

Oktay Saral is Erdogan's adviser since 2015 and within Erdogan's close circle.

You know very well this is not true. In fact, Azerbaijani gov knows it too, hence those articles.

Anyway, the only thing I was dissapointed in was the insults from people. Those things surfaced from time to time, but this time it was in full force. However, I also realized that this is only a certain profile of people and not everyone or even the most. Important distinction everyone should be aware of, myself included.
Azerbaijanis meeting with political Islamists of Turkey.

Bro, these people would shout about ban of headscarf from schools in Azerbaijan but won't say a word on ban of girls from schools in Afgahanistan or they would beat up people who are eating from Burger King but say nothing like ban Burger King (because it's owned by a AKP businessman)

IMO, Azerbaijan did good. Basically said "We are one nation, two states", don't try to replace Russia and try to meddle in our interior affairs.

Thats doesn't mean he speaks for Erdogan. Believe it or people people are allowed to speak in their own capacities.

This is the reality of politics; you must accept the subtle shifts in relations between nations, as nothing remains static.

Aah you must be one of those that supported Tutelage and the February 28 and had Merve Kavakci dragged out of parliament. lol, every day the Kemalists tell you that its old news and they have no intention for this sort of thing, then something like this happens and they show their true colors on what they actually think about the Headscarf ban, then you wonder why no one trusts you to ever vote for you.

Your narrative doesn't even make sense, there are people who protest McDonalds and Burger King in Turkey, are they secretly supported by the govt? No they are private citizens doing their own activism.

Also, not seeing why a turkic speaking state next door and the happening there might have a bigger impact on the Turkish public that went through its own issues of girls being prevented from education because they refused to take off their headscarves, than a random non turkic state further away?

For the record, ironically the Afghan situation actually received a direct comment from the state, unlike this current matter, which the State has tried to avoid problem.

If Erdogan had made statements against Azerbaijan, just as Aliyev has made statements against Turkey, the entire media—which you refer to as “government-backed”—would have criticized Erdogan. Is it possible to criticize Aliyev in Azerbaijan?

This isn’t about the AKP or Erdogan anyway. Aliyev is making statements against Turkey. He’s speaking in the voice of Israel.

I think Aliyev banned the hijab to sever ties with Turkey. He did it specifically to provoke a reaction from Turkey

What you are saying is unrelated with my post entirely.

Instead of making assumptions about me (a guy you know nothing about), you should have made at least a relevant post.

That is precisely what he did, if people follow the timeline, they will see before this headscarf thing, he was dismissing the Turkish contributions to basically just selling weapons.

This is something even outside commentators have nothing, after 2023, I was listening to a talk by Matthew Bryza(former ambassador to Azerbaijan) and he made note of it, that Aliyev doesn't talk about Turkey like he used to in 2020, and the shifts in tone.
