Türkiye in Sudan | News & Discussion

We really should move to finish them off, Sudan can be another Syria. Its located in a very strategic spot on the red sea, ideal for a Naval base.

Its one of the reasons why the UAE is pouring so much money propping up the RSF.

Turkey had previously made an attempt before to build a Naval base during the previous govt, but the govt changed and the country went to the current civil war.

The RSF is collapsing in Sudan.

Turkey should press the advantage.

If Turkey pushes now, I think there is a case where Turkey can be in a similar situation to Syria as a kingmaker.

What is the purpose of building all these military bases around middle east area? To protect your sea routes or something? Are you trying to be like Iran and create branches like hezbollah/hamas etc?

This is not any branch of a nonstate actor, Turkey is not supporting a nonstate actor. Turkey is supporting the UN recognized Sudanese State.

The RSF is the nonstate actor, with ties to Israel.

We are expanding friends and cooperating with the region and deleting enemies. Its both in Turkish interests as well as the moral thing to do.

Also the cause of Sudan and its people is just. The RSF is a genocidal kleptocratic militia that does the bidding of those who are enemies of the region.

Its not in Turkish interests to allow the region and the red sea to be the play thing of the Israeli/UAE Axis.

Turkey wants to ensure the territorial integrity of Sudan and secure a vital region which is in its geostrategic interests.
