for a very long time? we saw them transit via pakistan like over a year ago?
 
Very interesting that they feel confident enough in the platform and their pilots, to do a close nit aerial display in them this early into their use by the UAE Airforce !!!

The only other non-Chinese operator, apparently, is Zambia of all countries. First publicly known official interest from the UAE was almost 4 years ago so the UAE has probably had access to them for quite a while.

Anyway it is just a trainer.

No, they did not. It was a Yemeni civil war and Houthis pre-2015 Arab coalition aerial intervention controlled almost 80% of Yemen's landmass. Today they control 28%.

The losers and only ones were/are Yemenis that due to their stupidity/division are now controlled by an incompetent Stone Age cult (Houthis) that has accomplished nothing and are jailing Yemeni Grandpa intellectuals

etc., pro-UAE Southern separatists and the officially globally recognized official Yemeni military and government that KSA is supporting.

In fact UAE gained control of several strategic Yemeni islands and areas of Yemen that they prior to 2015 had no dream of controlling. Same with KSA.

By no means any loss, and I consider UAE's role in Yemen very counterproductive.

KSA as usual on the right side of history by supporting the official Yemeni army and government and not Stone Age cultists or opportunistic separatists that want to divide Yemen. Both of those two groups want that.

The Houthis greatest accomplishment is being permanently high on khat, destroying Yemen completely on every single front and trying to reach Somalia levels in terms of accomplishment and living conditions. How low has Great Yemen fallen with those cretins around!

They know the US embargo can happen anytime and make the weapons useless, plus major issue is IFF, deep down they know the reality if buying defense system from West.
