I agree to an extent whereby we should be preparing as a community. But we must not isolate ourselves. By all means we should involve ourselves socially and within bounds so we're not deemed as the hermits of society. But when boundaries are crossed, we should make it known.

In my day we just did heavy weight training (I still do, 4-5 times a week ) and just some basic boxing to keep myself fighting fit

I really want to take up some form of martial arts that would help me in a street fight and help me protect others. Only problem is time. Because of my job and the business I run I unfortunately don't have time for much else. Hopefully I can change that in the next few months.
