I agree with you that Pakistanis (your community) should unite and defend themselves and that applies to others and Muslims should all help each other. I am interested in your opinion on whether in the long term in the next few decades we (ethnics) should either leave or be prepared to leave i.e. if the country just goes completely downhill economically and socially?

It's on a downward trajectory and even many white Brits want to leave because of the increasing poverty, there is a reason why the phrase "Broken Britain" is en vogue.

I agree with what you say. I am sure Pakistan is a place that people can migrate to and have a comfortable life. On just a personal level I don't feel Bangladesh is so I would go to another Muslim country e.g. Malaysia if I am economically strong (no one in the world likes a parasite, sponger, freeloader, pauper but they respect someone financially strong.)

I am in the U.K. because U.K. is secular. And supports a plurality of beliefs and opinions.

It’s not perfect e.g. heavy handed attitude towards pro Palestine protestors.

But I am not going to encounter some, drunk on power, heavy handed, chamcha, making a list of issues I cannot discuss.

I would not go to France because it has become an overtly atheist nation. Like all atheist (and theocracies) nations they eventually fall into fascism.

So, unless U.K. completely flips I cannot see myself settling in Bangladesh.

Oh! Noise pollution is another headache! Competing Mullahs blaring out diatribe over loud speakers. Hasina had curtailed it to some extent but it is back with a vengeance.
