It's actually Democratic party that struggles with electoral college even after winning popular vote. Republican party has no history of losing college while winning popular votes.

That's because the Democratic party voter base is tilted towards urban voters while the Republicans are more popular with rural voters.

The electoral college is designed to downplay votes from states with large urban areas. This was the demand of the smaller, primarily rural, colonies when they formed the Confederation and wanted to make sure they were not ignored by the federal election process where candidates could just collect votes from the big cities and ignore 'flyover' states (not that they had flights in those days :) )

Obama divided America because of his race ideology. It's all about race, never about Americans. That's why Obama is so hated.

I supported Obama in 2008 and now I hate his guts. He was never the uniter he promised to be. He became the great divider. What happened to "There is no White America, there is no Black America, there is no Asian America, there is no Hispanic America, there is the United State of America."? Oh right, it was all a gimmick to get elected.
