With Trump saying he doesn’t care about inflation, etc., a vote for a Republican is a vote for the status quo.

For those on the left that want to overturn some Supreme Court ruling, the first step is to take control of both houses congress in 2026 to slow down Trump, then hold it in 2028, while taking the presidency in 2028.

The main issue here is the cost of living. This is going to make or break the election because that's what the independent wanted. Trump supporters are going to vote for Trump's GOP no matter what, and the Dems are going to vote against, and from what we saw in 2024, there are more Trump supporters than Dem supporters.

The problem here is, you need a leader and a platform to win; Dems don't have both, and like in 2024, they can't just run on an "I am not Trump" party. You need realistic policy and a campaign.

Democrats most likely will take back the House, but to get the Senate and the President's Office in 2028, they still have a long way to go. One strange thing is that there are actually more individual effort in the Democrat party than the party line.

I agree that Dems don't have an overall leader. Another problem is the rotten Dem establishment. They have still learned nothing from Hillary and Kamala debacles and insist on voters choosing their annointed candidates.

If todays democrats ran on 1990's democrat policies they'd likely be win house, senate and presidency.

To be fair, the entire tax code in the US needed to change.

You cannot hide your wealth in assets as long as you don't have a capital realisation (ie as long as you don't sell it, you pay nothing). Asset tax and capital gain (or realisation) against current value is the norm in every other country except the US. I mean, I have CGT on my property in the US, and everything I own I have to pay 10% GST in order to own it. That's how it should be, instead of rich folks just keeping buying stuff and charging nothing, and when they need money, they simply put a loan on those assets.

This is a bipartisan issue; both the GOP and the Dems were doing it.

The dem is very decentralised at the moment; it may work in the mid-term, but it's not going to fly in POTUS and other elections.

The dem establishment wanted status quo, they don't want progress, and that don't jive with the individual candidate and most young voter, that account for the young voter now being pull further to the left........
 
Well unless something nutty happens the GOP just won a US senate seat in Michigan held by a democrat

Michigan and Wisconsin are true purple states of which Orangeman won 2024 so looks like Senate will be held by GOP which is in my opinion more important than the house because of Supreme Court. SCOTUS Thomas and Alito can retire before 2028 elections and be replaced hopefully by same ideology justices.
