Well, unless they either expand the SCOTUS bench or the SCOTUS split went somehow different, it wouldn't matter to Federal Judge much if Trump/GOP still control the SCOTUS

Well, they aren't going to close it for the next 2 whole years. We can expect that if (probably when now, as early results point to a Blue Wave) the Dems retake the House, they are going to either use a shutdown as a threat or actually shut down the government to try to rein in Trump.

The issue here is, if nothing is done in the next 2 years, we can expect the same voting pattern in 28.....Because nothing will change for the voter in 28.

Right but don't expect anything major different about foreign policies. Trump will figure out ways to use his 'Executive Powers'. Such a nice setup of 'Checks and Balances'. NOT!

Don't think he can use his executive power that way, as executive power only allows him to direct government departments. Well, the most he can do is tell the State Department to shut down the embassy.

But he will most definitely continue to abuse his power like he is now, and I don't know if the Dems will do anything about it. That means the war is going to continue, and the direction will not change
