In all likelihood the Americans have been bombing empty buildings by now, as the Iranians have seen this coming and will have prepared, and will have cleared out the important things to safety. Hegseth can make any claim he wants, but the materiality reality on the ground will be different to what he wants with his headline figures.

That cope may work in the other thread, but reality is the Iranian military and its defense base are being destroyed. This is the most dominant US campaign since Desert Storm and they’re doing it with far fewer assets.

The Iranian military for what passed for an Airforce is gone, yes, same applies to the Navy. It wasn't much to start with, so how much of an achievement this is, is up for debate.

In terms of industrial damage to ballistic missile manufacturing, that is pure cope on America's behalf. Empty buildings, mark those words as they will be revisited. The programme will be back up and running in no time.

The Americans can and will win every military battle as they are, but they will still lose this war... War is politics by another means, and the USA is blowing up a lot of obsolete equipment right now yes. However it is strategically losing this war and what we are seeing from the political classes in the USA that very same realisation now and they are now hoping the world will bail them out of the predicament they find themselves in with some form of face saving exit for the USA.
