US Defence related thread

It’s not changing, go back to the first 2-3 days of the war and President Trump and Sec Rubio stated it clear.

1. Destruction of the Iranian military/ballistic missiles and industrial base
2. Destruction of its Navy
3. Destruction of its nuclear program so that Iran never gets a nuclear weapon
4. Destroy Irans ability to project power outside its borders and through its proxies

The US/Israel are achieving all of this and will constitute a massive strategic victory. Iran is the #3 most capable adversary to the US after China and Russia. When you weaken your adversary to this degree that’s a major strategic success.

Regime change was a SECONDARY objective that relies on the Iranian people. Yes, we would like to see them overthrown, but we’re not spending another decade nation building. Thats up to the Iranians.

1. Destruction of the Iranian military/ballistic missiles and industrial base (not happened so far)
2. Destruction of its Navy (achieved mostly)
3. Destruction of its nuclear program so that Iran never gets a nuclear weapon (not happened so far)
4. Destroy Irans ability to project power outside its borders and through its proxies (not happened so far)

In the follow up paragraph you are saying that US and Israel are achieving all this? well if that makes you sleep peacefully than sure

Regime change was NEVER a primary objective? well ... i kinda beg to differ on that sir, we have been told the regime change mantra again and again (and again)

It is too early for either side to claim success in meeting its goals, even in a limited way - way too early, in fact.

The fact that the Great Orange Shitstain keeps changing goals is not helping, either.

All of the above have been achieved and in the process of. Iran is militarily finished after this war. Over 15,000 targets hit in two weeks. Iran target set is likely 25-30K, so the US/Israel are halfway there.

All Iranian ballistic missile production has been hit per Sec Hegseth. Irans Navy destroyed, nuclear program destroyed, Iran and its proxies the weakest they’ve ever been.

The US/Israel can hit any Iranian targets at will and averaging 1,000 targets per day. An the US is STILL pushing capability to the Middle East. Iran has lost the war.

This has been the most dominant military campaign at this scale since Desert Storm and they’re doing it with fewer assets. From a military perspective, it’s an overwhelming success.

War is but a limited tool to achieve geopolitical goals. Ever-changing goals is known to squander away military successes.

USA/Trump is now getting desperate that other people will him try and get him out of the quagmire that the Iranian war has become for him.

"Hopefully" is a word of failure, a word of losing control, and a word of desperation. The USA is saying it cannot defeat Iran and re-open the Strait-of-Hormuz on their own, they need help.

Problem is, none of the countries listed see this as their war. It is Israel/USA's war, and whose failure they need to own.

"Thankyou for your attention to this matter!".

Is this true?

Thats OSINT assessment, the USAF also operates an additional 100+ KC-46
I know how many refuelers the AF operates.

OSINT assessments are just that: assessments. Unless they happen to have all the tail numbers deployed so far, they are simply guessing.

Former USAF Secretary's comments on war.

Ok, I've been away most of the day. So far, I've found nothing current to suggest Treasury will be issuing war bonds. The only reference is the X post which for now is considered as suspect.
