US Defence related thread

Ok, I've been away most of the day. So far, I've found nothing current to suggest Treasury will be issuing war bonds. The only reference is the X post which for now is considered as suspect.

but as per @F-22Raptor they have achieved the following:

1. Destruction of the Iranian military/ballistic missiles and industrial base
2. Destruction of its Navy
3. Destruction of its nuclear program so that Iran never gets a nuclear weapon
4. Destroy Irans ability to project power outside its borders and through its proxies

why would Trump

1. Ask europe to send their ships to escort
2. Asks media to stay quiet about damages (what damages Iran is finished isnt it?)
3. Not announce "Mission Accomplished" banner?

and why and where are the attacks still coming from if Iran is finished?

i am confused here :/

Do you like insider trading? Do you like to bet on crypto markets with respect to political events you orchestrate? Do you like to obey the commander-in-chief, no matter how absurd or destructive his orders? If so, we may have a career for you with the Department of War.

WAR IS A RACKET
BY SMEDLEY D. BUTLER

This short anti-war pamphlet was written by a Major General in the Marines who was an American military hero, but became disillusioned with the profiteering, propaganda, and injustice of the military-industrial and intelligence-foreign policy establishments , and came to oppose American involvement in foreign wars designed to benefit financial and industrial interests.

Outside of #2, am going to disagree with Raptor.

1. we do not know for certain that all of Iran's ballistic missiles and ability to produce them have been destroyed. Those known sites most certainly but what has Iran moved deep underground or to the eastern part of the country.
2. The IRI Navy is for the most part gone.
3. Still skeptical about that. Unless all of the enriched uranium is seized, we will never know.
4. Iran is still launching missiles toward targets outside its borders so that kind of negates that.

Has Iran's abilities been degraded? Most certainly. But are they out of the fight? Absolutely not.

Irans ballistic missile fire has dropped by 90% and drone fire 95%. That’s per Gen Caine yesterday. All Ballistic missile production facilities destroyed per Hegseth.

Irans nuclear program is destroyed. Iran is firing only 20-30 missiles a day now. Thats significant degradation after 2 weeks, and the volume is so low almost nothing gets through now outside of drone attacks on civilian targets.

Over 15,000 targets struck in 2 weeks and the US is continuing to surge capability to the region.

The US is doing this with only around 10% of its fighter fleet deployed.

I guess you don't understand or accept that so long as Iran is able to launch, it is still in the fight. Even Gen. Caine knows this.

Launching a handful of munitions means nothing if you’re attrited to that level after 2 weeks of combat. Thats massive attrition in that timespan.

Ok, it's obvious that trying to explain reality to you is a waste of my time. I shall not bother.

Fortunately, Gen. Caine and Adm. Cooper do understand.

@RescueRanger - do you have your chart of how USA/Israel daily mission rate have dropped off massively as the USA is now struggling to generate missions.

Update(1358ET):

The semi-official Tasnim News Agency reported that U.S.-based Citibank branches in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain's capital, Manama, were targeted by drones overnight, suggesting that civilian infrastructure has not been spared in the U.S.-Iran conflict.

From data centers to skyscrapers to water desalination plants, it now appears that IRGC drone strikes are spilling over into Gulf financial infrastructure. Tasnim reported that some banks pulled staff from buildings, shifted operations remotely, and that Citibank temporarily suspended certain in-person activities in the UAE.

Tasnim noted that Citi is a major node in the dollar system, especially in the Gulf region, where it handles oil trade finance, dollar settlements, and services for sovereign wealth funds and multinational corporations.
