But many folks who were invested in stock and are near or in retirement are crying. My thinking is, quit stock market when near or in retirement.

I'm retired. I'm not crying. I am fairly well diversified with real estate holdings as a counterbalance to the markets. Market investments are more in funds than individual holdings. Mrs. AZ_HighCountry is still working as well. Nor have I elected to draw SS at this time.

-2000 points down in one day …. The market was only been open for less than few hours thousands wiped off . Wait and watch next week and what happens.
 
There is a wide spread theory that Trump is destroying the Economy on purpose, so he can buy share/stocks cheap along with his billionaire buddies, they are screwing up US, also also more and more analysts are talking about Netanyahu is literally using Trump to Destroy US reputation around the world, and make sure America remains subjugated to his will, this is embarrassing for a country like America.

No he is killing stock market so that elites are forced to park their wealth back into fed. and that could force US fed governor to lower the interest rate.
