If oil stop flowing and the price of oil/gas creep back up, considering the mere weeks of supplies left in many countries, it could bring upon the economic crisis the MOU was suppose to mitigate.
The longer this goes on, Iran is probably also rushing to progress on their program, knowing that if they cross the threshold now, they will add a layer of negotiating leverage, and embarrassment for Trump.
This is while many in the US think Trump is probably itching to use a nuke. Tim Dillon did a good podcast on it recently.
