Negotiations between the United States and Iran appeared to have concluded for now, Iran's government said, after a series of talks in Pakistan to end the six-week war between Washington and Tehran.

The talks in Islamabad were the first ‌direct US-Iranian meeting in more than a decade and the highest-level discussions since the 1979 Islamic Revolution. The outcome could determine the fate of the fragile two-week ceasefire and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, a chokepoint for about 20% of global energy supplies that Iran has blocked since the war began https://reut.rs/4vu8dQ8

Well all eyes on Trump now. He was at the UFC event last night. :ROFLMAO:

The question for Trump is what are his choices now ? He was foolish enough to send his team expecting Iran to sign a surrender document, not realising he had lost the war . That was evident in JD Vance's speech.

"USA lost the war, but cannot accept defeat"....

Can he do more war at higher intensity? Yes, but to what end ? He can't do a naval blockade as the removal of Iranian oil off the markets will drive up prices even more than now as the world will get very desperate for oil.

Land invasion has been demonstrated to be very difficult where "every Iranian with a gun was shooting at us.." as per his general.

He and the USA are truly, "up the creek without a paddle right now".

The orange idiots next strategic move - and also in violation of the ceasefire if he tries to do it before the 2 week pause is over ..

I think he will press ahead with more military power. He wants Iran to buckle which will be very tough.
He's out of touch at the moment, and being pressed by Israel.

Trump has announced a naval blockade of Iran. No ships are allowed in or out of the Strait. Trump also announced interdiction of all vessels that paid an illegal toll to the Iranians.

That is a violation of the ceasefire itself which has a week to run..

Iran has already violated the ceasefire by not opening the Strait. The US won’t be held to a unilateral ceasefire.

This will in effect destroys Irans oil export economy. Also puts massive pressure on the Chinese.

If the USN stops Chinese flagged ships having freedom of movement in international waters, then yes they will have to consider that but that will be the USN doing that, not Iran.

What makes you think the Chinese will listen? They are under no obligation to in international waters.
This will make matters worse when they are other powers bring their navies.
