US Perspective on the Iran - Israel / US War

My local station is $3.85 this morning. Again, the US economy is doing poorly relative to who?

Relative to itself, of course.

It all adds up. Every fill up costs at least tens of dollars extra for most, and it ends up being a few hundred dollars less to spend on other items every month.

Add to that higher diesel prices for agriculture and transport, and the costs multiply through the system.

Not itself, the US is wealthier than it’s ever been in terms of growth and stocks. Employment and manufacturing are strong, US workers have seen wage growth outpace inflation for the last 3 years on average. There’s not a world where the US economy is doing poorly.

If the US economy is doing “bad” , I’d love to see how you’d characterize Irans economy?

LOL. Wealthier than ever, but not as wealthy as it would be had it benefited from lower energy prices and inflation. So USA does compete with itself in the results it gets vs the results it can get.

Not a valid comparison. A valley full of fruit orchards vs. a handful of peanuts, not even apples and oranges. :D

Numbers matter more than feelings. Gas prices have cooled. Inflation is slightly elevated at 3.8%, but we saw 9% under Biden. We’re not anywhere near unprecedented territory economically.
Numbers are facts yet when you cherry-pick to support a one-sided view, it is cover for feelings.

Your definition of "slightly elevated" is higher than what real economists were expecting by well over a percentage point. The latest from the beige book is forecasting more of the same.

You can spin this anyway you want. Yet, the facts are what they are.

Relative to who? Growth is strong, employment is strong, stocks are strong, manufacturing is strong. Are we going to cry about a dollar increase in gas prices which is the primary factor for the recent rise in inflation?
Amazing how you twist and turn.

The average price of gasoline nationally prior to the start of the latest conflict with Iran was $2.98 per gallon. The national average as of today is $4.16. A $1.18 more. Not to mention supplies of gasoline continue to decline.

Employment is not as strong as you parrot? It was just the other day I pointed out that 55K of the 172K jobs reported in the latest report were local government. Another batch were seasonal jobs.

You really need to start peeling back the onion a bit rather than regurgitate Twitter posts.

Regardless of however one may spin the numbers either way, the bottom line that remains important is the effect on the mid terms and the resultant changes in power balance, if any. We shall know soon enough.

So blaming genocide on Muslims? Excellent.
Perhaps mentality like this has screwed the Middle East so much. Some Arab nations supporting Israeli mindset like allowing their bases to be used hasnt helped, but lets blame Iran for that too.
You didn't get it ..did you?
What I said means they have to blame Israel first..

Not one Arab country had accepted the use of the US bases in attacks on Iran.. some did after Iran attacked their own infrastructures..they didn't even react when Iran attacked the US bases on their lands..this is the truth some people are blind to see!

Insinuating and suggesting Arab nations have behaved with morality is indeed embarrassing. The likes of the UAE sit on the same table and share bread with baby killers. Let that sink in.
Let us just agree to disagree bro. You may see them as “men of honour” - I certainly dont
