Behind the public statements, one US official (cited in the Washington Post, gated) familiar with internal administration discussions said Washington is planning for a wider war. The official said the Pentagon was increasing the number of military aircraft in the region, a build-up that points to preparations for an extended and potentially broader campaign. But the official, speaking on condition of anonymity because they were not authorised to talk to the media, cautioned that any expansion of operations will be constrained by shrinking stockpiles of air defence and long range munitions, as well as limits on surging additional troops and aircraft into the region due to battle damage. The official added that current resources are not enough to safely sustain operations and suggested the White House may not be aware of the shortfall.

Military experts have echoed concerns about US readiness. Seth Jones, who heads the defence and security department at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, said it would be a mistake to place ground forces on islands in or along the shores of the Strait of Hormuz, adding that US forces are not prepared for standoff strikes from Iran. Trump has declined to rule out ground operations inside Iran. The latest deaths came on the eighth consecutive day of bombing since a negotiated ceasefire collapsed following Iranian attacks on commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz, which Tehran said were a response to violations of the memorandum of understanding.

So I know this thread is the American perspective but I do find it weird that many users here don’t post anything regarding Iranian attacks only attacks against iranian targets on the Iranian thread even the most hardcore of Iranian nationalists will post attacks on Iranian targets and question why they may have occurred and what the Iranians could have done better, I’m sorry this thread is fairly boring if you don’t talk about everything going on good and bad both sides need to be examined my 2 cents that’s all

The other thread is mostly about that 1 twitter(x) account posting “breaking news”run by name of “ww3 monitor” which to me is mostly sensationalism
No authenticity or actual credentials of whoever that person is. Just posting their tweets every 2 mins withba thousand exclamation marks doesn’t mean shit

Not sure if the Americans are interested in posting destruction videos of iran, as most were against the war initially

But now since the irgc has kicked the can and started attacking civilian cargo vessels, irgc will lose support it initially had.

Enjoy the boredem iguess? If this war continues it won’t be pretty for anyone anymore as it wrecks the global economy and puts everyone close to WW3

To be fair most videos have been confirmed agree a few fake ones(very few) Iran struck civilian infrastructure after Trump hit Iranian infrastructure first and let’s also be honest Trump was and is now hitting civilian ships as well I may not agree but this war was started for all of the wrong reasons “nuclear weapons” that Iran wasn’t attempting to develop or use on anyone.

Arab states could easily end this war but can’t for fear of trump not the fear of Iran
