US Perspective on the Iran - Israel / US War

For a guy who has work 4 am most days can never seem to sleep but I thought this was messed up more messed up because of the mental and physical well being of an American soldier is more of an afterthought kind of embarrassing honestly bet this guys family get some kind anonymous donor or multiple go funds

Sailor who jumped from USS Lincoln faces disciplinary action

A sailor who jumped from the aircraft carrier USS Lincoln this month in what his wife described as a suicide attempt is facing disciplinary action from the US Navy.

According to documents reviewed by MS NOW (formerly MSNBC), the sailor stands accused of malingering and absence without leave, and could lose half his pay.

“I think they’re insane for doing this to people who need mental help,” his wife told the US media outlet.

Asked why it was pursuing punishment for suicide attempts, a US Navy official told MS NOW it was committed to the wellbeing of every sailor and that asking for help was a sign of strength.

The Lincoln’s deployment had been extended repeatedly during the war on Iran, leading to an outcry over the strain on crew members due to the length of time at sea and deteriorating conditions on the carrier, including a demand for hearings by a group of Democratic senators.

The USS George Washington aircraft carrier arrived in the Middle East earlier this month to relieve the Lincoln.

The Roosevelt carrier group will deploy in the coming weeks and relieve the Washington group as they return to the Pacific.

Many of today's service members don't seem to have the same "stuff" that made up the greatest generation. Or even as late as Gulf War 1. Anything longer than a 6 month deployment and they are whining.

My brother in law is calling the 4-5 folks publicly whining bunch of p****s. He and his ship USS Vinson did 8 months extended twice. He's at sea right now doing TSTA and FEP as they are deploying again late 2026.

#BREAKING| Trump: Iran is in big trouble and cannot pay its soldiers' salaries- What we are doing regarding Iran does not mean we have abandoned the military option- We do not want to talk with Iran and we are not seeking to hold a meeting with it- The Strait of Hormuz is open and we have completely cleared it of mines.

Second trip to the Gulf there was a transportation company from the Alabama National Guard. Bunch of them were bitching: "we didn't sign up for this ****. It was supposed to be one weekend a month and two weeks a year."

Guess what, dumbasses? Yeah, you did.

Meanwhile, Iran continues to shoot at vessels.

For Iranians its the existential war, so they will fight to the last man, for America it can end this whenever they want, regardless of what is posted here, America is losing its standing and soft/hard power in the region. Many of its allies are suspcious of its behavior and if fear/economic snactions wasn't a factor a lot of "Allies" would've just walked away or asked American troops to simply leave.
