From what I read up. Venezuelan crude oil will not reach American consumers or reserves for at least several years. 1). You will need to convince oil companies to invest in Venezuela again very unlikely so to increase oil production, 2) it will take several years to create the infrastructure for producing new oil from the ground and piping and transferring the oil to ships, 3) At the present moment US refinery capacity is at 97%. That means new refineries will have to be built ( not sure how much that will cost per refinery and at least 4-8 years of construction time according to experts.

Do you have any guarantees Venezuelans won’t seize their oil again? . Why US oil companies are not willing to invest in Caracas.
