Yeah, very good point. My gut feeling is the very recent talk coming out of Tehran and DC maybe pointing to a deal. This build up and chat by bother sides maybe a way of saving face to domestic audiences if another deal is signed, but then I have always been a glass half full kind of guy....

I'd be happy with a deal as would anyone else who wants this shit show to come to an end. It all depends on what the Iranians say to the Qatari delegation that landed in Iran an hour ago.

The small UAV incursions inside Iranian airspace seem like "someone" is testing the Iranian AAD response and then selecting targets for later interception. The loss of one or two drones vs taking out a Radar Installation is insignificant...

It shows that Iran has either not learnt how to protect the important AD radars with a layered overlapping AD setup, or lacks the technical capabilities to do so, both of which should be worrying for Iran right now.

This is most certainly Israel, trying to provoke Iran into a response, it is small enough to be discounted as the "provocation" event in itself, but the Iranian response could be used a pretext for war.

It is quite possible also, that drones are still being launched from Azerbaijan by Israel.

Either way it seems drones are now in the air and this could be their tactic all along - just keep launching these and have the Iranian's shoot them down exposing their AAD positions and goad them into launching a few cigars.

Contractors use charter companies. We used have a host of such random flights land during GWOT days.

That one is particularly common with US DOD contractors and "consultants".
