It is using Northern Route


Turkey → Armenia/Azerbaijan → Turkmenistan → Afghanistan/Pakistan

This is primarly due to Overflight restrictions and the Turkish operators choosing to avoid Central router (Middle East) entirely for "reasons".

Given that Iran has been only bombing Arab countries and not Israel at all, it is a bit difficult to take at face value their statement about uniting against Israel when they themselves REFUSE to take action against Israel even when being attacked constantly by Israel .....

Fascinating to see these 5 USAF refuelers from both the 22nd Air Refueling Wing and The Northeast Tanker Task Force headed out of Portsmouth AB:

What makes this formation all the more interesting as an observer is the callsign SKATER - these are callsigns used for "alert" tankers they are kept in permanent standby for rapid ground to air missions to support NORAD, Strategic Nuclear Deterrence and Contested theatre operations (CENTCOM).

The pilots that crew these aircraft go through advanced training due to the nature of their role they undergo extensive training to operate aerial refuelling in full CBRN gear:

Remarkably on the 31st of July 2014 the NTFF stood down from a 24/7 alert commitment after 14 years of flying aerial refueling missions following 9/11 the wing flew 360 missions, averaging almost a sortie a day through 2002.

In total since 9/11, the 157th Air Refueling Wing flew 2,818 sorties, 10,698 hours and offloaded nearly 170 million pounds of fuel, refueling B-2 strike missions, B-1's, C17's.
