Top Admiral Briefs Trump On Iran Attack Options​


The top U.S. commander in the Middle East briefed President Trump Thursday on military options for Iran, a rare in-person visit to the White House as the U.S. weighs resuming major combat operations, according to U.S. officials and other people with direct knowledge of the meeting.

Joining Adm. Brad Cooper was Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Dan Caine. The meeting included other cabinet members and covered other topics, some of the people said.

The top-level gathering followed a Wednesday session at the White House in which the military officers met with Vice President JD Vance, one of the people said.

Trump officials have told Arab Gulf states to be prepared for a short, intense campaign after the midterm elections, the Journal has reported. Vance has also engaged one of Iran’s most powerful hard-liners in an effort to revive peace negotiators, WSJ reported.

“We may do another little Epic Fury,” Trump said at a rally last week, referring to the heavy U.S. and Israeli bombing campaign in the spring. “Or they’ll agree.”

Cooper rarely briefs Trump in person, so the meeting could signal that the U.S. is moving closer to significant military operations. He met with the president in July, when the two huddled with Hegseth and Caine on Air Force One after a dignified transfer at Dover Air Force Base. A Pentagon spokesperson and a Centcom spokesperson declined to comment.

The US has been hitting Iranian missile launchers for the last couple weeks. I imagine it’s not been made public due to midterms next week. Another hit in the last hour

FWIW, I'm not the only one who has watched flights from China approach the Iranian border and suddenly the transponders go dark. What I worry about is how many flew in with transponders off all the way.

Yeah he kind of conveniently leaves the bad part I just bring him my company so he can tell those sales reps how the economy so great they’re either losing their jobs in a month or they’re getting shit duty work so they quit by themselves fir less than half the pay

The logistics industry is looking at a down peak season. Forecasts are not good.

guess we know what's been supplying the yemeni houthis......i had thought china had stopped the aid to iran bcaz iran was forwarding stuff to yemen and its other proxies to hit on KSA

Can't prove it beyond a shadow of a doubt of course, but when a transport suddenly goes dark, and then pops back up later on the other side of the country, you have to wonder.

But, let's be honest. China isn't the only one doing this.
