If not Russians, then who? The Chinese? North Koreans?

Russians have been buzzing us with Bears, TU-160s, ISR aircraft and sometimes SU-34's for decades (post-cold war) using the Bering Strait and Chukchi Sea corridor, and lesser extent Shemya Islands, USAF has not stationed or deployed fighters to Shemya during that period. As for Chinese being the reason I highly doubt it it's not the PLA's M.O to test Alaskan ADIZ they've only done it once in 2024 and that was during exercise with Russian bombers. AS NK def a no.

Something is definitely up. Couple folks I know who might be in Poland are suddenly silent.

I need to call my oldest spawn. Her husband had orders for CONUS (I won't post where). Will be interested to know if that has changed.

I really don't know what to make of this a few days ago I was rolling my eyes when family members would talk about this but not anymore. Btw November 17th there's going to be nationwide EAS test which will cover TV and radio last one was 2023 that was for cellphones.

A lot of US military flights particularly tankers headed east - are now no longer using the Mode-S hex of AE05A5 - instead using a code not assigned to the United States.

Context: This is an attempt to mask movement of aircraft from prying eyes.
