US Perspective on the Iran - Israel / US War

Biggest problem for Trump is he let this war drag on and on. He got spooked by a single F-15 getting shot down, didn’t let Centcom complete its target set, then the absolutely stupid MOU nonsense. He doesn’t want to commit to taking the HEU or overthrowing the regime. He settled for half measures, which is where we’re at today. From a pure military perspective, US forces have been superb, but that hasn’t translated to HEU in hand or the political capture of Iran.

Biggest problem for Trump was he was stupid enough to start a war that all his predecessors refused to get trapped into doing. Period.

No, denying Iran a nuclear weapon is a righteous cause. Defeating the evil entity that is the Islamic regime is a righteous cause. Settling for half measures is where Trumps approach has faltered.

Trump will now be focused on his legacy, which makes things for Iran more precarious.

Iran was not going for nuclear weapons rather stupidly, that is why the USA attacked. If there was any hint of nuclear weapons, the USA would not have attacked.

Let's see. The American people have just told him now, no more war...

Trump's legacy will be written on a used toilet paper tissue paper, as that is what it is worth.

This is Donald Trumps Legacy.

He doesn’t care what people think, he’s never running for office again. Last 2 years will be focused on his legacy. He can no longer push any major legislation through Congress, so I expect his focus will be on Iran.

He cannot push any major legislation through Congress, he has lost control of both houses. He is a lame duck president.

As for you claim that he will "double" down on his legacy - with what? More failure.

Yep , Iran is the only platform left for him to redeem his honour.

It’s why his primary focus will be on Iran. What that entails I’m not entirely sure, but Iran is likely looking at an indefinite naval blockade for quite some time. Oil exports are already zero, payments for float oil will dry up by the end of the year. It only gets worse economically for Iran and renewed strikes can be a tipping point.

Lol - so the clown acknowledges that he lost the election because of higher fuel prices caused by his war, and he is going to ignore that and go back to war ? Are you serious ?

Donald Trump cannot ignore the message the people of the USA just delivered, it was not a tsunami of stop your stupid sh*t now, it was al-nino wave that just hit him and his party. The republication party will be in no mood to indulge trump and his "legacy anymore", they will be looking at the elections in 2 years from now and how to stop the bleeding.

Trump can absolutely ignore it. He has significant leeway on foreign policy. He’s not ceding on the Strait or Irans nuclear program.

Trump in all likelihood won't last the remaining two years as there is a real chance now that the republicans may will get rid of him. The Trump brand has run its course and serves no value anymore to the party at large.

"This is the beginning of the end of Trump".

Dems aren’t impeaching Trump for a guy who may run for President in 28. That’d require 67 Senate votes anyway, so you’re looking at 10+ Republican votes. Don’t see that happening.

George Bush surged troops into Iraq after major Republican defeat in the midterms in 06.

Trump likely escalates from here.

The growth is mostly tied to AI build-out. Without that, you're looking at a modest 2-2.5% at best.

Anyway, we're stacking Wins!
Also notice that AI generate revenue are non-tangible, as it was a service sector, and mostly it comes in the form of stock dividends from the stock market, those aren't actual growth, and it can actually retract like the real estate bubble or more closely, Dot Com bubble.

Economy aren't great, and that's the reason why GOP got knocked out today.

but tankers are being hit daily and that's not looking good when the world runs out of good tankers and vessels and LNG tankers.
The US was supposed to ensure that but they still can't
Because it can't be done militarily.

To completely secure the strait, the US would need to at least partially invade Iran; that's not going to work unless we got suck into a bigger war. And we are going to have to do it alone.

You can only do air and sea interdiction up to a point, but at some point you need a coast watcher (either drone or man) and a reaction station, as well as a buffer zone so you can intercept the strike before it hits.

Talked to a friend of mine I went to OCS with (Now a LTC working in the Pentagon); it's going to take a few brigades to do that, and we have no guarantee that will work.
