Over how many years is the key.

Isn't China trying to get FAA and EASA certification for the C-919? Once they obtain those two certifications, is the Boeing purchase necessary? The C-919 is in the same class as the B-737 and A-320.
US certification could take years - this could be a lollypop to get the certification early and easily - same goes for Airbus.

If these fools do not feel the pain caused by the United States, how can they understand why China wants to create a multipolar world?
All thanks to Donald's tariff wars, lands grabbing acts and two real wars, countries esp middle power ones now want a multipolar world, except Japan a loyal lapdog.

For China, Japan requires special treatment.

Vietnamese also eat lots of chili and peppers ?
Vietnam is a major producer of chili and peppers but majority don’t eat spicy, only few do. In ASEAN I think the Thai like spicy, in Far East the Koreans like spicy the most.

Not spicy? Here in Germany the other day we went into a hot pot. The soup was poured in lots of dried chilly. Something like this below. A young Chinese couple sitting the opposite ordered a soup that was super spicy. Chills were more than the soup. He told that’s standard dish. That’s not for Vietnamese. I think accept roasted ducks or chicken rice there is nothing for me to eat in China.

This is the Sichuan cuisine I ate in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. It's actually quite obvious who is spicier.

It's not really a friendly visit. Neither side has warm and fuzzy feelings for the other.
They are putting on a show to convince rest of the world that China and US are no longer on a collision course, well good luck with that

but for the next 3 years there could be some sincerity in both, while the US will focus on replenishing its ammunition stockpile which has been running dangerously low since Iran, China's priority would be eating up manufacturing shares from Germany and Japan. So neither side may want a direct confrontation for the time being

it's also worth noting that most of the MAGA loyalists no longer see China a major threat

I’m more interested in what the talks are about on the “ war on iran” issue.
And what will be the outcome on that from here onwards.
What will China tell Trumpy on that…..
the indicator for that would be oil price which has been a straight line for the last few days:LOL:

He had a very good visit to China in his first term with big agreements, then days after he returned to US, he tore up the agreements and started the trade war with China. Do you have much confidence in such person ?

Before Trump's first visit to China, China did not beat him up.

And China did beat him up this time.

Based on the information currently available, there are at least three points.

First, some of the previously imposed additional tariffs have been reduced, while the implementation period for tariffs that had already been imposed has been extended.

Second, restrictions on semiconductor technology have been eased, including certain extraterritorial rules and similar measures.

Third, both sides have each proposed a list of goods worth 30 billion dollars for further tariff reductions and exemptions.

Of course, there is also Taiwan. Issues related to Taiwan were discussed behind closed doors.

More importantly, the products China is buying—whether agricultural products or energy—are things China actually needs, and the amount imported will mainly depend on market prices.

Second, buying Boeing aircraft is simply a way to reduce Airbus orders. In the eyes of China and the United States, Europe is nothing at all—just a bargaining chip used in negotiations.
The US supreme court has ruled Trump's tariffs on other countries are illegal, so he is not doing China a favor by taking off or reducing tariffs on China, China will do the same. 30 billions of tariffs exemptions or reductions goes both ways, no favor to China either. And US wants China to open all of its markets esp financial ones to US investors, China should not allow.

I remember a member of MAGA from the United States told me in the PDF that Trump doesn't drink a drop of alcohol. Perhaps Trump is just pretending to be a devout Christian in front of Americans.
