2 out of state billionaires effectively put their feet on the scales

This is why I have long been a believer of transparency in campaign financing and keeping the out of state special interests out.

Years ago, when John McCain was running for reelection, I received an email from same AZ PAC urging me to support Maverick. I looked up the PAC. The PAC was not an AZ-based / registered PAC. It was in Virginia, just outside the Beltway.

Donors to that PAC were from all over the country.

This world needs a “world police,” and the only countries qualified to play that role are China and the United States.

Both China and the United States hope that the United States will serve as the world police.

The latest positioning of current China-U.S. relations can be summarized as a “constructive strategic stability relationship.”

On many issues, China and the United States share common interests. Beyond competition, there is even more room for cooperation.

Many countries may fantasize about China confronting the United States, but that is impossible and does not align with China’s national interests.
Especially some Muslim countries like Iran: they usually act arrogantly, but once they are attacked, they fantasize about China stepping forward to help them confront the United States. That is nothing but a pipe dream.

A dumb proposal other than some people like more daylight in the evening. We survived how many millennia not knowing what the time was followed for how long before DST became a thing?

Drop the proposal and focus on something of real importance.

The security of the United States is really fragile.

In 2023, American politicians in the Senate representing Florida pointed out that Chinese garlic posed a 'significant threat' to U.S. food safety and national security.

Under their push, the 2024 National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2025 included a clause 'prohibiting the sale and freezing of Chinese garlic in U.S. military stores.'

In 2024, relevant U.S. industry associations labeled electric tricycles produced in China as a 'national security risk.'

I suggest that the U.S. could easily just increase tariffs or ban imports directly, without needing such complicated political maneuvers to disguise the real purpose. Being afraid of angering China while also fearing public blame is very cowardly behavior.

In 1961, the U.S. launched the 'Bay of Pigs Operation.' Since then, Cuba has not engaged in any military conflicts with the U.S. The United States has blockaded Cuba for 62 years. Now the U.S. accuses Cuba of threatening its security. Such rhetoric is just as shameless as Israel accusing the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) of being 'Hamas.'

This behavior is extremely disgusting.
