It would also, uniquely, make Jews as a group and the state of Israel deserving of special treatment and protection by the federal government. The bill is supported by nearly all Jewish non-profits and Zionist activist groups and is headed “To strengthen Federal efforts to counter antisemitism in the United States and protect the Jewish community.”

That has violation of the 1st Amendment written all over it. Bad enough Congress has been slowly whittling away the Bill of Rights.

Now, they make no effort to hide it.

Wonderful.

That has violation of the 1st Amendment written all over it. Bad enough Congress has been slowly whittling away the Bill of Rights.

Now, they make no effort to hide it.

I'm curious. Jewish people are a special group in the United States and need legal protection. Not long ago, von der Leyen also made similar remarks at the European Parliament: There is no European history without the Jewish people. And officials from various European countries have made similar comments.
I find it hard to believe intuition, but too many officials say that there is an emperor on top of the entire Western country.
