Vera Coking's daughter ended up only getting $583,000 for the property.

Around the same time General Motors was building the Cadillac plant in Hamtramck, Michigan.

A friend of my father who worked for GM, got wind where the proposed plant will be built and bought four lots that fell right in the middle of the proposed plant. He walked away with $4 million dollars.

Not the man's fault the executives at GM couldn't keep their mouths shut.
