U.S. politics have deteriorated significantly in the last decade; to me, there is no difference between them and Pakistan. The people have begun to scrape the bottom of the barrel for candidates to run the country.

Sir, unfortunately I must agree with you.

I'm not sure even now what exactly happened but with the election of Bush 43, things started coming off the rails.

Even with Bill Clinton, as much as he liked to get some on the side, things weren't that bad. Sure, his AG oversaw a couple massacres (Ruby Ridge and Waco), but never have I seen the division as we currently have.

I see more extreme positions taking hold, and changing demographic and economic factors have led to fringe ideas and solutions rising and taking hold. These positions are taking hold in the far ends of the liberal and conservative spectrum of politics, not just in the U.S. but also in the EU and elsewhere.

Since 9/11, I have seen the centrist politics ripping from the seams.

And, on top of that, he's still in custody over a parole violation in Kentucky over a previous incident.

You just can't make this stuff up.
