Just as I expected. Democrat voters prepare to be treated to another round of bukkake theater while the people they elected do a hard pivot on what they were running on.

Who has time to fix the country when your busy issuing subpoenas, conducting investigations, holding hearings, and having impeachment votes?

Don't expect the radical elements of the party to fall in line with the man who hopes to be Speaker:

You heard it here first. Democrats are going to fix nothing, they will not bring the cost of living back down to what it was before Biden assumed office.

Their focus is to "get Trump".

You are so correct what Democratic Party priorities must focus on.

Hopefully the Democrats in the United States realise that impeaching Ttump to get Vance into office is not the thing they should waste all their time on. Demonstrating they can get stuff done will be the thing that helps them win the next Presidency , not just being anti-Trump Party.

Update: Democrats have now secured 254 seats, while Republicans stand at 162. With 19 races still outstanding, Democrats could realistically add another 8 seats before all the votes are counted

To that poster who kept telling us that nationwide Republican gerrymandering meant Democrats would never win the House again.

How's that prediction working out?

Texas Republicans gerrymandered TX-9, TX-28, TX-32, TX-34, and TX-35.

Democrats won four of the five.

Not only that, Democrats actually increased their Texas delegation from 13 seats to 14 seats.

That's the funny thing about politics. A map can influence elections, but it can't force voters to support a party they don't want.

The "Democrats will never win again" theory just ran face-first into reality. 😄

Do you know the demographics of each gerrymandered district?

It's way too early to conclude that's the Democrats' agenda. A few comments about "lawyering up" don't represent the entire party. Voters didn't give Democrats a blank check, but they did vote for accountability too.

Many Democrats campaigned on lowering costs, avoiding more foreign wars, and investigating alleged corruption. The challenge is doing all of that, not obsessing over just one part of it. If they forget affordability and focus only on investigations, they could face the same backlash Republicans just did.

I don't know where this meme got its numbers from, but one thing is clear: AIPAC money has become pretty toxic in a lot of Democratic circles. Just look at Haley Stevens losing to Abdul in the primary, and then Rogers losing to Abdul in the general. We'll see how it plays out long term, but I wouldn't be shocked if candidates seen as too tied to that money start facing serious primary challenges in 2028.
