Talked with my mother this morning. My folks live just outside the Detroit metro area. Mom had to shut the windows after just a few minutes. Everywhere is all hazy.

We got rain this afternoon. Not heavy and not a lot. Still, it was a nice respite from the heat.

Mid July and all my windows are open. Normally I and my cats are hugging the air conditioner this time of year.

Grass is very green. Typically at this time of year, the grass is brown and I am measuring the cracks in the yard.
