You too. On day three with no water, trying to keep one room above 60°F.

Artic air sitting over this area, sucking out any warm air. Tomorrow morning will be -8°F, that's temperature.

Need to put some music on and start dancing to keep warm. No beer. Grocery store didn't open.

Nashville, TN is now a disaster zone. Over 90% of Davidson County lost their power.

Latest news reports over a half inch of ice.

For now Central and South Florida still feels warm, Tampa temp is 74F as of writing this post... but we are bracing for some cold weather in 30's and 40's...

My house right now. Temp at 21 F / -6 C and about half inch of snow/ice but more to come. But power is working. BTW, I am loving it! Four distinct seasons are so nice to have! You couldn't pay me to live in FL or Karachi full time! PXL_20260125_134813543~2-COLLAGE.jpg

Parts of North Carolina/Tennessee see snow but nothing crazy, we grounded our Maintenance techs for their safety from going out in night, Temp is still crazy and people are bracing. My one complain about Florida is that its expansive but as Karachi born/raised I don't know if I can live in a place which see temp that drop below 0. 2-3 weeks from now I will be kayaking in Weeki Wachi spring or maybe enjoy a nice warm sun on beaches of Destin.

All kind of animals. Even bears have been sighted barely a mile from my house. We live on considerable acreage and deep in the woods. I sometimes regret decision to build so deep in the woods because if an animal attack happens--stray dogs, bears, coyotes--then probably no one would hear even our screams for help. We try not to get out of the house after dark except to walk to the car.
On the other hand, no neighbors with their noises and incredible beauty of the four seasons changing!!
