Vance: America hasn't won a single war in the last 40 years

Soviet Union had a major role in developing North Korean Army in the 1940s:

The Korean War, like many wars in history, did not take place in a vacuum. It broke out because the North Koreans attacked South Korea with confidence that they could win the war and communize the entire Korean peninsula. North Korean confidence to win the fighting against the South was based not on hope but on high confidence that North Korean forces were able to secure an easy victory in the war. In fact, the North Korean forces were far superior to those of the South in all possible categories of the fighting capabilities and abilities. They were fully armed with heavy weapons and equipment supplied by the Soviet Union, well trained by the prudent guidance of Soviet military education and training advisers, greatly reinforced with the Korean soldiers and combat leadership, well-matured in the Chinese Civil War (1927-1949) period, and given a coordinated fighting plan prepared by the Soviet military war-planning advisers. Having judged from the facts, North Korea and its sponsors, the Soviet Union and Communist China, anticipated an easy victory over South Korea, provided that the United States would not rapidly intervene with its forces. With these expectations and anxieties, North Korea attacked South Korea on June 25, 1950, which became the immediate and direct cause of the Korean War. - Link

The PLA Fourth Field Army was also involved in providing manpower to (and share its experience with) the North Korean Army in 1949 under the Chinese People's Volunteers (CPV) framework. It fought for the North Korean Army throughout the Korean War.
KMT troops gained a lot of experience and got tons of money from both the west and Russia during WW2, It still lost China to the ragtag communist troops in merely 3 years, it's not only about experience, modern weapons and money.

Oddly enough the US has had our military stationed in bases in more than half of those 10 countries since the Korean War.

France, UK, Japan, Germany, Italy

..and for some of the above...US troops are there right now.

..as for China...well I don't have to tell anybody what your military has never done.

So what about the others? For example, Brazil in 1979, France in 1966. India when it followed the Soviet Union. Russia when it invaded Georgia and Ukraine. And, of course, China.

So what about them?

President João Figueiredo and his ARENA party takes office in 1979. Why do you think that requires a US war?
Why didn't China start a war with Brazil when he wasn't in office?

de Gaulle leaves NATO in 1966. Why do you think that requires a US war?
Why didn't China start a war with France when they joined NATO?

So India followed the Soviet Union. Why do you think that requires a US war?
Why didn't China start a war with India when they cozied up to the US?

So Russia invaded Ukraine Why do you think that requires a US war?
Why didn't China start a war with the US when we invaded Iraq/Afghanistan?

In fact for almost every military intervention the US has done over the last 40 years China has done nothing but watch and do nothing...and now you are accusing us of being the ones of "not acting". Your voice over the last 40 years has been mute and nobody even remembers your stance on them mainly because your opinion has been about as relevant as Zimbabwe's.

In 1979 Brazil de facto broke off its alliance with the United States, which had begun in 1964, over the issue of nuclear weapons, and in 1966 France withdrew from NATO. Then there's India, Russia, and China, all of whom have actually damaged U.S. interests.

As for China, since WWII China has been at war with the US, USSR, France, UK and India. And we ran a POW Olympics with POWs from over twenty countries. Of those, American POWs won the most gold medals.

Ok..so what does this have to do with wars????
You have some strange Chinese logic about what should be the cause of a war....which BTW you yourselves aren't even following.

I suppose if some person drops an ice cream cone on the street you think a war should start..but it should be somebody else doing it instead of you.

Hey Italy dropped out of the Belt&Road...according to your logic you should start a war with them. That certainly would make an impression on all the other members,..

It doesn't. It's deflection. .

Ahhh......very nice. Another one from Karachi. One the other forum, our resident Pakistani (there may be more, I don't know) lives in Karachi too. I would actually like to visit Karachi.

If you have a choice, go to Austin. Not St. Louis unless you like cold miserable winters which you probably don't because you're from Karachi.

You're kind of not answering my question; at least not directly. For every individual who says they served, there are 4 or 5 or more who chose not share unless someone asks. And, those who served in a combat role don't go around openly sharing war stories. Only those who have been in that position can understand why. As in my own case, how do you respond when your granddaughter asks "grandpa, were you in a war?"

I'm a little jaded for a reason but do not assume I am some mindless sheep who gets off shooting people for no good reason.
You should visit Karachi but when things are better in Pakistan, right now its a mess. Plus if you do visit make sure you contact some local friend because you need someone who knows streets of Karachi or else you will get mugged very quickly. Street Food is the best in Karachi, beach is sh!t, but you will find all ethnic groups there, and if you are connected to right people you might even see the rich people night life stuff like parties, even Alcohol stuff.
Nah, I won't pick up St Louis anyway, Austin have decent size Muslim population so easy access to Halal/Kosher food, mosques, community etc.

I understand what you are saying, I am not saying they tell me every detail of their operations, like one black guy I met in Lexus showroom, he asked me if I am from India, when I tell him I am from Pakistan, he said I've been to Pakistan which kinda shocked me, I thought he might have been some Student from African country as I know people from some African countries come to Pakistani universities, but he said he was in Shamsi Air base, he didn't say much but when I told him that everyone knows that American operate Shamsi base he was shocked.
Now to answer your question, yes there are always people who will be there to replace the soldiers, in fact jhungry mention the same point, but thing is I don't believe that soldiers don't have a choice, they always do. Plus a lot of people here always talk about the how US soldiers are in difficult situations in Iraq or Syria, my point is why are your soldiers there in the first place? you have no business being there except create trouble, or steal resources or spy, no soldier is serving his country by being in a country that hates his presence and he is there to enforce his country's policy by using violence.

I hope you know that every military personnel be it American, Pakistani, Indian or any country has been brainwashed and indoctrinated to a degree, Armies pick up such young minds who are easy to manipulate, violent in nature and have ethnic or racial superiority complex, because its easier to convince them to go kill women and children (people of color) because they are a "Threat" or you are doing this protect your race, religion or western supremacy, either way in the end majority of Military personnel are brainwashed.
The day Americans start to believe that other people lives are as valuable as their own they might refused to go overseas to fight and kill innocent civilians, maybe at some point people will realize that the biggest threat to US is from within, you can protect America very easily but its America who keep bullying and invading countries that create resentment against America/Americans, you want to live in a peaceful world and with peace, stop calling people you don't like Terrorists or invading other people countries because Israel said so or you want to steal their resources or just you believe they are uncivilized.

Okay, so USA lost the Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq wars.

USA needs to stop going on imperial wars, and many tens of millions of Americans would agree to that as well.

Iraq 1991 was a victory. I don’t know why it’s fashionable to hate on the Americans. Iraq 2003 was also a victory. Enough of this stupid mindset that they can’t win wars. If they haven’t won a war in 40 years, then why is most of the world afraid of going to war with them?
Victory? It was Saddam's failute that he could not see the zionist trap, and it was a victory for the zionists, but in reality another loss for America. The loss was cushioned by the Gulf States who paid for the "operation".

The last war the Americans won was the Civil War.

The USSR won the WW2.
The USA was defeated by China in Korea, and was pushed all the way down to the current DMZ between the Koreas. China was about to take Seoul too but the Allies asked for a ceasefire.
The USA was defeated in Vietnam.
The USa was defeated in Afghanistan.

In Iraq 2.0 too, the USA had to withdraw from the main cities, and began paying Iraqi freedom fighters lead by people like Muqtada AlSadr abour $1000 usd per month per fighter to not attack American soldiers.

That is some list for the so called strongest military in the world.

As Mao said, it is a Paper Tiger. Sure it can bite, but will run away as soon as it gets hit back.

I suppose you think Saddam won the war?

Back to @LeGenD assertion of what constitutes "winning".
Does everybody in the country have to bow down and call you their savior or something?

Certainly Saddam and his government didn't win.

I can respect this.

As for visiting Karachi, if my company were to set up a new regional hub, that would be as good a place as any. And, I'd volunteer in a heart beat to be part of the team.

The problem is countries like Haiti, Grenada, etc., they didn't even throw ICE CREAM CONE at the U.S. before the U.S. government started a war against them.

You don't think they've done anything worse than the war in Ukraine, do you?

lol, let me have what you’re smoking. We’ll drop a bomb on your head and you won’t even know it.

We will absolutely crush almost the whole world which includes every Islamic nation btw.

The problem is countries like Haiti, Grenada, etc.,

Grenada was a basket case of coups by power hungry people. It just got completely out of control when Deputy Prime Minister Bernard Coard had President Maurice Bishop dragged out and shot by firing squad and took over. Then proclaimed any civilian who protested about it would also be shot. Not that the former President Maurice Bishop was any better since he himself overthrew Eric Gairy and basically made himself dictator. Even Eric Gairy had basically made himself dictator so it was just this endless line of who could take over the country.

We were only there for like a week to calm things down.
