I expect there to be a couple of DRTs from DHL on the ground,

For those who don't know, DRT is Disaster Response Teams. If you wish to know more, these links can help:

Thousands of Venezuelans were feared dead on Thursday after two powerful earthquakes wreaked havoc in and around the capital Caracas, trapping people beneath the rubble of collapsed buildings and setting off powerful aftershocks.

A magnitude 7.2 earthquake hit about 160km west of Caracas on Wednesday afternoon, followed less than a minute later by a magnitude 7.5 tremor, according to the US Geological Survey.

A sad event. My condolences to Venezuelans.

The earthquake is a natural disaster, but the scale of the damage isn't happening in a vacuum. After more than two decades of crippling sanctions, on top of years of economic mismanagement and underinvestment, Venezuela's infrastructure has been left in a fragile state. Hospitals, roads, power grids, and public services simply haven't had the resources to keep up.

Sanctions are often aimed at governments, but when disasters like this strike, it's ordinary people who end up paying the highest price. A stronger, better-maintained infrastructure could have made a real difference in how well the country copes with a tragedy like this.

My heart goes out to the Venezuelan people :(

Expect CIA aligned/front NGOs to flood Venezuela. Too bad USAID has been taken out....
