Rodríguez praises Maduro and his wife as 'heroes' during swearing-in ceremony​

We can now bring you a little more on Delcy Rodríguez being sworn in as interim president of Venezuela.

She was sworn in by her brother, Jorge Rodríguez, who is president of the country's National Assembly.

During the ceremony, she said she came to take the oath of office "with pain because of the suffering that has been caused to the Venezuelan people after an illegitimate military aggression against our homeland".

She referred to Maduro and his wife as "two heroes" and vowed to guarantee the peace of the country, "the spiritual tranquillity of our people, the economic and social tranquillity of our people".

The 56-year-old is an ally of Maduro and served as vice president from 2018. She has also held the job of Venezuela's economy and finance minister.

@LeGenD so as far as I know Colombia has been fighting drug trafficking for many years with DEA help over many many years has been an ally of America for many many years Colombia president was freely elected now he’s threatening freely elected people….seriously Jolani people have killed more people in a day than Iran has killed be they peaceful or violent instigators I’m assuming many that were killed were paid Israeli instigators(seriously not big on conspiracies but I’m for that theory because Israel is openly trying to torment violence).
Israeli forces has killed more peaceful people protesting than any so called democracy in the world(we are not even talking about Gaza) settlers are now openly causing killings and mass destruction on daily if not hourly basis(guess what many of those attacked are Christians)
This doesn’t seem like trump fighting to make the world a better place it’s more like trump enriching him and his family for a very long time if this guy doesn’t try to go for a third term if he doesn’t die from natural causes I would be very surprised and if he does try and is stopped and as many yes man in the military he has now I can definitely see a coup in a few years again he tried once this time he is in a better place to succeed

It's all a ruse orchestrated by the Venezuelans themselves.

Delcy and a senior cabal of elites/military is scamming Venezuela into believing there is some sort of "resistance" or "independence" of Venezuela.

Trump needs her to comply with several key issues and that is all - she can put on whatever show of "mobilisation" she likes.

The issues probably relate to historic oil infrastructure funds, acquiescence to Trump's oil pricing demands to reduce reliance on GCC nations, and Venezuela's past support of Palestinian sovereignty. Delcy will play ball and quietly yield on all of these issues. Trump and his handlers will be satisfied.

Definitely sounds like insider trading especially the way Maduro was captured and shipped out. Politics is sure a dirty game and no shortage of dollar pigs whose snout sniff and feed on money. Looking at the way Maduro quickly surrendered maybe Maduro is after a green card.

My optimism regarding lower gas prices isn't nearly as enthusiastic as yours.
