This is not about a boat filled with cocaine it is about sending a message to Mexico and the cartels that run that country that targeting and blowing youz up is now on the list. Venezuela is the test run and because drug cartels are now considered terrorist the US can now take out terrorist that pose a severe "threat" inside of Mexico.

do you really think that sending warships to Venezuela or shooting down a boat carrying drugs will end Drug epidemic from USA ? Plus you do realize that international law even if the boat was carrying Drugs US was suppose to apprehend if it enters its borders but can not blast in international waters, but hey who am I to judge ? we live in a time where law has no meaning and the only law/moral that matters is " Might is right ".

Really a strange one. We can see that it's nothing to do with drugs.
Venezuela has the worlds largest oil reserves, and it doesn't want to partner with US oil companies who will get 50% of the profits, it wants its oil to be handled only by Venezuelan companies.
The American force isn't large enough to fully invade the country. My guess is that the CIA has its assets ready in the military and political class, and a military 'shock' will be delivered so these people can take power and be the Americans lapdogs.
