This is more of an issue in third world countries. Musk and Trump have created companies and thousands of jobs in the US. Both aim to expand American manufacturing. Both are popular in the US due to the fact. Some in third world countries rather want to see leaders like these two who are doing something for the people.

Agreed 100%. The sad reality is that US people decided that such a small person was fit for the highest office in the land over the absolutely abysmal crap foisted on them by the Democrats. It is going to be a long time till 2028 indeed.

If you look at the efforts of redistricting and so on along with potential focus of removal or disqualification of anyone other than white - this is less about mr Orange who is at the end a self preserving survivor and more about a long standing quasi supremacist / evangelical zionist label but more so white elitist influenced interests putting ideas and backup ideas to preserve a system(or understanding) built up over years.

Less about some massive singular illuminati or mason conspiracy(or whichever of these hobby bogeymen suits people) and more about beliefs in various but similarly themed ideals by individuals of wealth and power usually in combo - that are converging towards an outcome of mutual benefit.
Interestingly @hnn post on the core model and periphery in the other thread applies to an extent here but in my simpleton mind the idea of manifest destiny comes into play instead of purely leading onto divine or eschatological means.

If individual and collective beliefs(regardless of just/unjust/real/fictional/spiritual/ethnic/racial/class etc.) converge and that core ideal drives strong wills, then they will shape events in history.

Call it me reading the Dune series recently being an influence. but the logic therein makes sense even if I don't expect any worm/man hybrids.

He is banging on about the oil but this is only part of the project, not the entirety of it. I doubt that he actually cares about Americans getting cheap oil half as much as he does about Israelis feeling eternally safe from the bogeyman.

90% of US production is light sweet crude. The US needs heavy oil for diesel, jet fuel and other derivates not obtained by refining light sweet crude without blending. If US refineries obtain a steady supply of Venezuelan crude it will meet all US energy needs for many decades. The US will not flood the market with Venezuelan crude since current Venezuelan production rates is enough to meet US needs.
